Practice Schedule (December 19-31)
Christmas Break is here! This is the time of year where the guys have the greatest opportunity to set themselves up for a great great conference or state meet at the end of the year. Why? They build up an aerobic base that we will eventually taper down as we approach the last meets. The next two weeks we be long practices and lots of yards, but after the new year arrives, it is all down here.
It is important to remember that the guys will be tired almost constantly. A balance diet and a solid amount of sleep will be the best aid during the next two weeks. Also, if you are planning on going anywhere or missing any practice, please contact Rob (rob.knecht@gmail.com or 616.890.1335) as soon as possible.
We will practice at Ottawa Hills for the next two weeks. Below is the practice schedule:
Location: OTTAWA HILLS
Mon., Dec. 19th - normal time
Tues., Dec. 20th - normal time
Wed., Dec. 21st through Sat., Dec 24th - 11:15 to 2:30
Mon., Dec. 26th through Sat., Dec 31st - 11:15 to 2:30
FOR ANY SWIMMERS INTERESTED IN ADDITIONAL PRACTICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
Some swimmers have asked for more help or yardage during the Christmas break. For anyone that wants that, we will write workouts for you to do Wed and Fri of the first week of practice and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of the second week from 8 pm to 9:30 at EGR. Those are the open swim hours and it will cost a few dollars to get in. If there is a financial concern holding some one back from doing the extra work, please contact one of the coaches. This is not recommended for first year swimmers because of how tough the single workout will already be.
The schedule for those practices is below:

Team Meeting for Returning Swimmers/Divers
Returning swimmers/divers, there is a meeting on Saturday, May 14, 10-1pm in room 227 at the High School. The meeting will consist of the coaches interviewing each swimmer/diver individually. Don't worry you don't have to be there the whole time, once you have been interviewed, you are free to leave. We've scheduled this meeting on this date so it doesn't conflict with any other activities. We are hoping to have a projector available in case someone wants to bring their video game system, just let me know. There will also be pizza available for lunch around 11:30. If you have any questions please ask Jeremy.
