As we come to the last week and a half of the season for most of the team we want to make sure that we are doing everything possible to swim well at the conference and the shave meet. The shave meet will be the last meet this season for guys that don't make a state cut and unless a guy is really close he should expect to swim some different events.
Most of the team is on taper for the conference meet, we are intentionally trying to get 1 more hour of rest each night and eating protein, wheat carbs, fruits/veggies, dairy (not ice cream) and water. Avoid sugar, processed foods, soda, salt & easy on the white starches (potatoes are good). Good foods include: lean meats, eggs, 2% milk, wheat starches, bananas & potatoes. We are also trying to not exert our energy in other physical activities, please be mindful of what you are doing.
Monday:
- Morning workout @ Quest Center 9:00am-9:45am (State team only)
- Practice @ Calvin College 6:00pm-8:15pm
Tuesday:
- Practice @ Calvin College 6:00pm-8:15pm
Wednesday:
- Practice @ Calvin College 6:00pm-8:15pm
Thursday:
- Practice @ Calvin College 6:00pm-8:15pm
Friday:
- Conference Swimming Prelims @ EGR 12:00pm
- Please make sure you wake up at least by 9:00am and get 8+ hours of sleep
- Warm-up starts and balcony opens at 10:00am. $5.00 for admission, $2.00 for heat sheets
- Conference Diving Prelims @ EGR 5:30pm
- Warm-up for divers is at 4:00pm
Saturday:
- Conference Swimming & Diving Finals @ EGR 12:00pm
- Warm-up starts and balcony opens at 10:00am,
