Our first social event will be to welcome all new swimmers and divers to the Grand Rapids Christian boys swim and dive team! We are planning a dessert social on Sunday evening, November 28th, from 6-8pm. This event will include coaches, athletes, and their parents and siblings. The Pruis' have graciously agreed to open their home for this event. We wanted to do this early in the season so we could all get to know each other before the swim meets begin. Go Eagles!!!
The Pruis' address is 1211 Old Lake Ct., Grand Rapids, MI 49545. Please do not park in the circular drive at the Pruis' as we will need this area to exit when we leave. Here's a map.
Dessert and beverages will be provided, and parents don't need to bring a thing. We are looking forward to meeting the new members and hope all will be able to attend. A flyer will also come home with the boys from practice on Monday, the 22nd. Some of the new families have not signed up on the website yet so please help spread the word.
Looking forward to seeing all of you!!!

Practice Sat-27-Nov *NOT* Split
We had originally announced that Saturday's practice would be of the "split" variety. Now it will not. All swimmers should be on deck at 10:00am. Practice ends for everyone at 12:30pm.
As a rule, once we announce a practice time on the Team Calendar, we also notify everyone if that practice changes. So if you're signed up for updates via email, Facebook, or Twitter, you'll hear about every practice change. But it's never a bad idea to check the Team Calendar page frequently.

Split Practice Details
The 4-hour practices will be split up as follows (Wed, Fri, and Sat):
Please keep in mind that not all practices will be split like this.
- The swimmers who swam in the 4 slower lanes of the pool at Monday’s practice should be ready to get in the pool at the beginning of the posted practice time. They will be done with practice 2.5 hours after the beginning of practice (10:00-12:30 for the 10:00 start days or 11:00-1:30 for the 11:00 start days).
- The swimmers who swam in the 4 faster lanes in the pool at Monday’s practice will need to be on deck, ready for drylands 1.5 hours after the posted beginning of practice (11:30 for the 10:00 start time and 12:30 for the 11:00 start time). They will finish practice at the posted stop time.
Please keep in mind that not all practices will be split like this.
- Split practices will be denoted on the Team Calendar page as "Split Practice" and will follow this same pattern: slower 4 lanes start at the posted time and go for 2.5 hours; faster 4 lanes start 1.5 hours after the posted time and finish at the posted stop time.
- Regular practices will be denoted as simply "Practice." For these regular practices, all swimmers will be expected to be on deck at the posted start time. Practice will conclude at the posted stop time for everyone.

Spread the Word
Every athlete whether new or returning needs to get on the website and click the big blue "CLICK HERE" button. Then follow the instructions to fill out your contact information. So far, only about ten athletes have done this. Please help spread the word to all athletes that they need to do this.
Parents of first year swimmers and divers also should get on the website to get signed up on the email notification list. Parents of returning athletes who are already receiving these updates don't need to sign up again. But please help us by spreading the word to others.

How to Print Documents
Some folks have had trouble printing top times lists and other documents on our website. Here's the trick: Once you click on the link to the document, you'll see a Google docs page that shows the document. To print it, DON'T use your web browser's print function. Instead, use the File/Print option beneath the Google docs logo. Please let the webmaster know if you cannot open a document or if you're still having trouble printing it.
