Congratulations to this years team as they captured the OK Greater Grand Rapids Conference title!
Yesterday, two conference and school records were broken by our 200 and 400 Free Relays.
200 Free Relay consisted of Mitch Schroder (22.22), Tyler Ligon (22.03), John Swets (22.26), and Ryan Beezhold (21.44) with a final time of 1:27.95!
400 Free Relay consisted of Mitch Schroder (49.07), Jack Van Allsburg (48.90), John Swets (49.15), and Ryan Beezhold (47.55) with a final time of 3:14.67!

Team Party location change!
After the meet, the team party will be at the Boer's household. The address is 2359 Breton Rd SE, Grand Rapids 49546. Please park on/around Onekama street and walk to the house. There will be a balloon on their driveway.

Boys will gather at the Swets’ house for head shaving. They will have pizza, fresh fruit, etc
provided by team dues before they go to practice. Time TBD
THURSDAY- Diving prelims and Pasta dinner
Diving prelims start at 5:00, come cheer on our divers!
Swimmers will practice at normal time. After practice, they will have their pasta meal together. The meal will be in our old team room, located off the gym lobby between the bathrooms. If you are bringing anything for this meal, please have it to this room before 8:00 pm. The boys will probably eat in shifts, since many of them are on a different practice schedule. The meal should be finished by 9:30.

Swimmers need to be at Calvin at 10:15 for warm up. The meet starts at 12:00.

This meet usually lasts 3-4 hours. Nothing scheduled for the team afterwards.

Swimmers need to be at Calvin at 10:15 for warm up. The meet starts at 12:00. DOORS OPEN AT 11:00. Again, please try to sit together to cheer for our Eagles.
SATURDAY NIGHT Post Conference party- swimmers and families
After the meet, the Pruis family has invited us to their home for a post conference team and family party. The main course of the meal is provided, but please let us know if you plan to attend, and how many (jennschroder@gmail.com). If your swimmer does not swim on Saturday, please plan to join us for the gathering. We will post an announcement on the website to let everyone know when the meet is finished. The Pruis’ live at1211 Old Lake Ct. SE GR

State Meet 2012
State Meet 2012 March 9 & 10 at Oakland University
Hello, State Meet parents and fans:
We are looking forward to being together and cheering on our team. A block of rooms has been reserved for us at the Auburn Hills Hyatt Place hotel under Grand Rapids Christian High School. Check it out at http://detroitauburnhills.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/index.jsp
The rate was quoted at $85 plus tax for a room with 2 queen beds plus a couch OR a king bed plus a couch. Hot breakfast is also included. The block is reserved for the 8th and 9th (Th and Fr) of March, but choose only the 9th if you prefer.
To reserve your room, you need to call the hotel at 248.475.9393 (then press 3 for reservations) by February 15. You will be responsible for your room reservation and putting it on your credit card. They will release our block February 16th, so please do not get caught without a room. If you are more comfortable booking your reservation online, you can visit www.hyattplaceauburnhills.com and under group/corporate # input: G-GRHS.
If you are unsure of needing a room, consider reserving one with your credit card by February 15, because then you have until two days before the event to cancel it without penalty. Be sure to confirm this policy when you call.

SENIOR NIGHT THIS WEEK THURSDAY
Parents of Seniors, please arrive at 6:00 p.m. to be ready for Senior presentation at 6:15. ( Hopefully the meet will then start closer to 6:30) Senior boys please wear your WARM UP pants and your BLACK DRI FIT Eagles swimming and diving long sleeved shirt. (These may have been from Sophomore year). PARENTS- please raid your swimmer's bag ASAP ( to make sure that it is at least dry, perhaps even clean) for their WARM UP jackets- both of them- one parent wear the school issue black jacket- the other parent wear the new warm up jacket with the name on the back.
After the meet, ALL PARENTS (both teams) are invited for a dessert social time while the teams eat their meal.
